Applicability: This Policy applies to all 天涯海角APP (“天涯海角APP” or the “College”) applicants for employment and employees.

Purpose: The purpose of this Policy is to require applicants and employees in certain positions to maintain certification, registration, licensing, or meet provisional requirements.

Statement:

For positions for which state or federal law or appropriate professional agencies impose certification, registration, licensing, or provisional requirements, the College may consider such requirements to be necessary and bona fide occupational qualifications. 天涯海角APP will pay for the costs and fees associated with recertification and continued licensing for an employee who holds a position with a bona fide occupational qualification that is specified as a minimum requirement on the position description. It shall be the responsibility of the applicant or employee to provide evidence that the applicant or employee meets the current requirements.

It shall be the responsibility of the employee to maintain current certification, registration, licensing, or provisional requirements, as applicable, and to produce written evidence of the same to the employee’s department or Human Resources upon request.

Failure to meet certification, registration, licensing, or provisional requirements at any time during employment, or to provide evidence of the same, may result in discipline up to and including termination of employment in accordance with the Suspension, Demotion and Termination Policy 415.08.
