'Maddi's Fridge'

Based on the book by Lois Brandt, this play created by Childsplay is a thoughtful and funny exploration of friendship, empathy, and doing the right thing.
Maddi and Sofia are best friends. They play in their neighborhood park together. Maddi is really good at climbing the rock wall, while Sofia is a fast runner. One day Sofia discovers that Maddi has no food in her fridge at home. Sofia wants to help her friend, but Maddi makes her promise not to tell anyone. What should Sofia do?

Food Drive
In 'Maddi's Fridge,' a young girl discovers that her friend doesn't have enough to eat and she decides to take action.
Now it's your turn! Join our food drive to benefit the ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP Student Basic Needs Center, helping ÌìÑĺ£½ÇAPP students who are facing food insecurity. Non-perishable donations will help fill someone's pantry and their heart.
Items can include:
- Canned meat or tuna
- Jelly
- Peanut butter
- Pancake mix
- Rice or pasta
- Dishwashing liquid
- Multi-purpose cleaner
- Paper towels
- Sponges
- Baby wipes
- Deodorant
- Diapers
- Soap or shampoo
To participate, encourage students to bring in donations of food or household items and submit them by one of these options:
Option 1: Collect items at your school/business and contact MTC Arts Ed to arrange for items to be picked up.
Option 2: Bring the collected items with you to the Midwest Trust Center on October 8. There will be a box in the lobby to deposit items before entering the theatre.
